Based on an employee’s suggestion, for this year’s holiday charitable event eVerge Group adopted several families through a program called Second Wind Dallas. Second Wind is a faith-centered group that helps needy families with elementary school age children. They contact local school administrators who identify families within their schools who are in need of assistance during the holiday season and then pair the families with local companies such as eVerge who want to help out.
eVerge was able to adopt five families this year, each ranging from three to five family members of all ages and different needs and wants. From the generous donations of eVerge employees, we were able to fulfill the needs of all five families. We had our big shopping and gift wrapping day on December 9th.
